OCT (Cirrus 6000)

Eye examination with OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)

What is OCT?

Eye examinations using an optical coherence tomography ( OCT ) machine are a type of imaging device that uses light to create cross-sectional images of the retina. This machine uses light to shine into the eye to create cross-sectional images of the retina in 2D and 3D , allowing the doctor to clearly see the thickness of the retinal layer and any abnormalities.

Advantages of OCT (CIRRUS 6000) examination

  • Easy and quick check
  • No pain, no radiation exposure, and no injections.
  • Helps to better monitor and evaluate treatment.
  • Capture images with a resolution of up to 0.01 millimeters.
